Andrew Hamilton is a Jesuit priest. He taught theology at the United Faculty of Theology for many years, and has contributed widely to theological and religious journals. He has had a long-standing engagement with refugee communities and issues. He is currently editorial consultant of Eureka Street and a policy officer with Jesuit Social Services.

Chris Johnston draws a weekly editorial illustration for Eureka Street. He is an award winning illustrator, cartoonist, and storyboard artist of many years experience. Training in architecture and classic art techniques, he now works mostly with computer and drawing tablet, and when time allows, pursues various online graphic novel projects.

Brian Matthews writes the By the Way column for Eureka Street. Brian is honorary Professor of English at Flinders University, Adelaide where he taught for 25 years and was awarded Flinders' first Personal Chair in English. He was Fulbright Scholar in Residence at the University of Oregon, 1986, and subsequently held visiting professorships at the universities of Trento, Venice and Bologna. He was head of the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies and professor of Australian studies at the University of London, 1993–96. Dr John Falzon is Senior Fellow, Inequality and Social Justice at Per Capita. He is a sociologist, poet and social justice advocate and was national CEO of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Australia from 2006 to 2018. He is a member of the Australian Services Union. He has written and spoken widely on the structural causes of marginalisation and inequality in Australia and has long been an advocate for a fairer and more equitable society. He previously worked for five years with The Salvation Army's National Editorial Department, working as a subeditor and staff writer across its various publications including the flagship publication Warcry. John Warhurst

John Warhurst AO is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the Australian National University in Canberra where he was Professor of Political Science from 1993-2008. Before that he was Professor of Politics at the University of New England in Armidale, NSW, from 1985-1993. He has been a weekly columnist for The Canberra Times since 1998. He also writes occasionally for The Footy Almanac. He has been chair of the Australian Republican Movement (2002-2005), campaigning for an Australian Head of State for Australia, and Deputy Chair of Catholic Social Services Australia (2007-2012), the church's peak body for social services. In 2009 he was made an Officer in the Order of Australia (AO) for services to political science and to the community.

Justin Glyn is a Jesuit priest who grew up in South Africa and migrated to New Zealand in 1998. He has practised law in both countries and has a doctorate in international and administrative law from the University of Auckland. After his ordination he will travel to Canada to study a Licence in Canon Law at St Paul University in Ottawa, Canada. He has published articles on theology and an adapted version of his Ph.D thesis was published by Presidian in 2009 under the title Fundamental Rights in Administrative Decision-Making: Peremptory Norms as Objective Standards in Immigration and Refugee Cases.
